Sunday, June 23, 2002Notes for Yaw Maneuvers: The yaw maneuvers use sector rotation (to -3400 counts). During this time, the formatter is set to DAY rate. In order to balance the MODIS data output, and equal amount of NIGHT rate data will be collected during what would normally be DAY rate.

Transition MODIS to STANDBY and open SVD. Then, go to SCIENCE, enable FMU taxi interface, and open NAD.
The execution time of these activities will be based on when AQUA comes out of SAFE and resolves the software issue that caused the SAFE Mode entry (specifically: when the controllers have their flight software patched).
The Deep Space Calibration pitch maneuver(s) have been indefinitely suspended pending mission review.
The next Aqua drag make-up delta-v maneuver is planned for July 3rd.
MODIS is currently in SAFE mode on PS2. Doors are closed.
RC temps are warming due to MODIS SAFE mode/doors closed. Blackbody temperatures are yellow low. Survival heaters are cycling the MEM temperatures.
At 15:40:44, the AQUA spacecraft performed an unplanned CTC swap from CTCA to CTCB, thereby placing the spacecraft and it's instruments into SAFE mode. Preliminary analysis suggests that there was a single event upset (SEU) in the memory interface controller (MIC), while the spacecraft was in the SAA. The event occurred in a background task. It was either a read/write verify scrub or a checksum scrub in low priority housekeeping tasks. The SEU triggered FSW to check error flags. The FSW check of the error flags incorrectly interprets the state of the flags and thereby performed the unnecessary CTC swap (since the FSW "thought" the error was more serious than it really was). A software patch is being made to correct the FSW problem in all 8 controllers (they each have the same error).
